Treat your email list like the VIP list for a party.
That’s right. In today’s Learnin’ Thursday I’m digging into the importance of inviting people to join your email list like you’re inviting them to the party of the century. Because ideally, you are!
Listen, even the most tedious thing can be made into a fun thing, and when you come at it from a place of fun you’re more likely to do it, your customers are more likely to engage, and the world is a better place.
Here are three ways to put this in practice!
1. Make the invitation CLEAR
2. Ensure it is easy to “RSVP”
3. Clearly position the VALUE of being on your list (read: it’s the PARTY OF THE CENTURY!”)
BONUS – don’t no show your own party. If you offer value, deliver value. If you say you’ll email every Tuesday at 10 am, do it.
